POPULAR BYRON BAY’S MASSINGER STREET – Auction Attracts Strong Crowd

The auction of an elite and substantial family home in one of Byron Bay’s finest addresses, Massinger Street, attracted a large number of prospective buyers and spectators. The 6 year old, 4 bedroom home failed to meet the reserve at auction.

3 Properties were auctioned on behalf of L.J. Hooker Murwillumbah. Moderate interest was evident and post auction negotiations took place when the properties were passed in fractionally below the reserves.
CYSTIC FIBROSIS FUNDRAISER AT SALT

The Kaylee McKenzie Fund was the recipient of funds raised at a gala dinner held at Peppers Resort, Salt Village, Kingscliff. Kaylee suffers from Cystic Fibrosis and was thrilled to see the supporters and friends.
A signed photograph of Mohammed Ali and Joe Frasier was the highlight of the evening making in excess of $2000 at auction.
AUTO PARTS AUCTION – MURWILLUMBAH

A comprehensive catalogue of approximately 150 auto part items were put up for auction at Murwillumbah. Most of the items sold at auction which was a pleasing clearance for the owners.
MELBOURNE CUP CALCUTTA – BYRON BAY

The annual Melbourne Cup Calcutta was held at Byron Bay Bowling Club on Melbourne Cup Eve, 5th November. Starting with a healthy pool prior to the auction of the 24 starters, the lucky punter who purchased Efficient, picked up $3,000. The Red Devils Rugby League Club were the recipients of the funds that were raised.
