The annual Melbourne Cup Calcutta was held at Byron Bay Bowling Club on Melbourne Cup Eve, 5th November. Starting with a healthy pool prior to the auction of the 24 starters, the lucky punter who purchased Efficient, picked up $3,000. The Red Devils Rugby League Club were the recipients of the funds that were raised.
