For the second year in a row this annual function was held at Ristorante Fellini at the Gold Coast. Hostess/MC Eva Milic from Nine Gold Coast News co-ordinated the social proceedings attended by more than 100 people including many high profile corporate heavyweights. The auction of various forms of sporting memorabilia was very well supported by those in attendance and exceeded the expectations of the organisers. Ray Cross once again conducted the auction for Cystic Fibrosis.

 

L.J. Hooker Financial Services Annual Golf Day – Cystic Fibrosis

Once again the Colonial Springs Golf Club at Robina on the Gold Coast was the place to be to celebrate this annual event with all proceeds going to Cystic Fibrosis research. A record number of 160 golfers took part and enjoyed the hospitality offered by L.J. Hooker Financial Services and Colonial Springs. The auction of sporting memorabilia items was held in the club house following the golf. Ray Cross and Paul Moore reported that the auction was a great success with almost $20,000 raised for Cystic Fibrosis. L.J. Hooker continues to lead the field in their fund raising support of Cystic Fibrosis.

Kardinia Park was the venue for the auction of 61 items of outstanding sporting memorabilia. The dinner dance in the famous Fred Flanagan Room was attended by 200 staunch supporters of the Drysdale Football Club for whom the proceeds were raised. Memorable items such as a framed Makybe Diva print with Lee Freedman’s signature, signed and framed 2007 Geelong team jumper with premiership players signatures, Adam Gilchrist signed magic moments as well as a brand new Toyota Yaris and many more popular sporting and lifestyle items were sold under the hammer.
